Happy New Year! I’m so excited to start the year off with this post …
Imagine an exclusive oceanfront sanctuary situated on the limestone cliffs on the south end of Negril, Jamaica overlooking the rich blue Caribbean Sea. Now picture yourselves there with your loved ones, closest friends and family over an extended weekend to relax, enjoy and celebrate your wedding nuptials. Well, that’s exactly what Tiffany and Nick planned for their destination wedding, held at The Caves, in Negril, Jamaica.
We had the honor of spending two days with Tiffany and Nick, their family and friends at The Caves, and I have to say this was a truly unique resort and wedding location. While most oceanfront resorts eventually lead to a beach and then the ocean, the colorful and exclusive accommodations and gazebos on premise are all situated cliffside. Meander down the cliffs via any of the many paths, and you’ll discover caves which offer a perfect romantic dinner local, especially when lit by candle light.
There are so many photos from Tiffany and Nick’s destination wedding at The Caves, in Negril, Jamaica that I’m going to split the pictures into two posts. For Part 1 here, let’s take a look at the gorgeous details from the wedding and the resort.
Here’s a view of some of the cliffside accommodations with entrance into the caves beneath:
If you follow our blog at all, you’ll know we love shooting wedding rings! And for a destination wedding, the large conch shells made for a perfect backdrop!
But I think one truly tells the story of a destination wedding, Jamaican style!
The bridal suite was in the “Butterfly” room. Love the cutouts on the walls going up to the suite.
The wedding ceremony and reception were held at The Sands, a private dinning and bar area at the south end of the resort. Gorgeous white florals were complemented by wedding stationery, including programs, menus, and table numbers designed by Olio Style. I love the custom wooden sign with the couple’s name and wedding date hung at the entrance to the wedding ceremony site. Can the view and ambiance get any better than this? It was a perfect sunset for a special wedding with perfect weather in an unforgettably romantic location!
And if you’re in Jamaica, you gotta have some Jerk chicken. We tried a lot of Jerk chicken around the island, and the best was what we had at the wedding. Tiffany and Nick treated their guests to a special late night BBQ of Jerk chicken! It definitely hit the spot! Yum!
If you ever have the chance to attend a wedding at The Caves, or even just vacation there, be sure to try “The Bob Marley” drink! It’s a flaming drink with 3 colors. Look carefully! You can see each color as it’s being sipped! And here are a handful of more details from around the resort!
We’ll be back with more of Tiffany and Nick’s destination wedding photos tomorrow…so stay tuned!
