Zeke and Family Portrait

We know Paula and Leon through a friend, but the best part is that they are our neighbors! I was joking with them about the shoot yesterday that the commute was killing me as I had to walk about 50 yards to their house!

We watched little Zeke grow up and he would always be running around the common driveways we all shared. I was so thrilled to have the opportunity to shoot their family portrait! Halfway through the shoot Zeke kept lingering around in front of the frig and Paula eventually figured out he wanted some rice! He complete transformed after that and couldn’t stop smiling and laughing, absolutely adorable!

By the way, TRA2 totally rocks! Most of these photos had been processed using TRA2 actions - I love that vintage newspaper look!

Christina and Rei Wedding and Slideshow: Athenaeum, Pasadena

We first met Christina and Rei last year and when we shot their engagement session a month ago, we instantly bonded through all the common interests! They were so natural in front of the camera, but more importantly, the chemistry they shared was undeniable and translated beautifully onto the images.

We headed down to Pasadena this past weekend to shoot their wedding at the Athenaeum on the Caltech campus. The stunning architecture of the location was a perfect backdrop for their beautifully and elegantly decorated wedding.

We also worked with some fantastic vendors at this wedding - big thanks goes out to the wedding coordinator Echo from PINK by echo for all the help you provided for us!

Cooking Party: Chinese!

It’s once again the time for our monthly cooking party! Instead of tackling ambitious recipes from likes of Thomas Keller, Michael Mina, and Ming Tsai as we (okay, the lovely ladies… guys were mostly drinking beer and watching TV) did in the past months, we were ready for some simpler dishes. We prepared honey prawn, egg tarts (with egg white only!), fried rice noodle, and rice-covered meatball!
