Vivien and Nathan’s Wedding - Hotel Sofitel, Redwood City

Posted December 16th, 2008 in Slideshow, Wedding

It’s been an amazing year, and we are down to the last wedding of the year! Vivien and Nathan thoughtfully planned their wedding on the weekend of Thanksgiving to be able to spend more time with family and friends as many had traveled from afar. Both the wedding ceremony and the reception were held at Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City.

The day started with the traditional “pick up the bride” games where Nathan and his groomsmen were subjected to a series of challenges. The games revolved around “diapers” - watch the slideshow at the end, it was hilarious! For the bridal portrait session, we made our way over to the sidewalks of Oracle as well as the new Redwood City library. The library provided some very interesting architectural angles and colorful backdrops, and the artificial lake behind the library allowed me to create a beautiful silhouette of Vivien and Nathan against dramatic clouds and clear blue sky.

Congratulations Vivien and Nathan, and thank you for allowing us to be part of your day!

Her eyes just tell the story of her anticipation and the careful preparation for the day

This about sum it for Nathan - fun, energetic, and loving life!

Oh yeah, a bit of male bonding experiences

Did I fool you into thinking this was at Lake Tahoe?

I love the expression of the groom’s brother on the left - lost and utterly confused…

One of my favorites of the day - the bride wiping away a few tears from the speech. The lighting consist of videographer’s light from the left, external flash to the right for separation, and a bit of bounced flash off the ceiling to fill the rest.

I love this shot captured by our assistant photographer Albert! Great catch!
