Kurfay & Cliff’s Engagement: Legion of Honor and Palace of Fine Arts

Prior to the shoot, I asked Cliff to come prepared to make Kurfay laugh. While he was afraid his jokes wouldn’t be funny enough, judging by how Kurfay just lit up around him and in front of the camera, I’d say he did a good job! =)

It was one of those rare days when the sun poked through the fog and clouds over Legion of Honor and Palace of Fine Arts, and the strong contrast of light and shadow allowed us to be more creative.

Linda and Cameron: San Jose City Hall

Linda and Cameron are getting married next weekend, and for their engagement session, we had chosen the modern backdrop of San Jose City Hall. The location was full of possibilities with different angles, lines, and patterns. What made the shoot even more interesting was the dare-devil nature of Cameron (he’s a rock climber, go figure!) constrasted by Linda’s conservative hesitations. For one of the shots, they had to scale up a wall to be on top of a platform - I think those particular images are fantastic!
