Treasure Island Chapel and Yank Sing Wedding - Amy and Alvin

Posted July 29th, 2009 in Slideshow, Wedding

Amy and Alvin’s day started bright and early at the Harbor Court Hotel as Amy and the bridesmaids were meticulous pampered by the fabulous Maria Chang from PMA.  The wedding was held at the Treasure Island Chapel followed by reception at Yank Sing in the Rincon Center.  In between, we stopped by the “Cupid’s Span” in Rincon Park with the bridal party for some dramatic bridal portraits!

Here is the list of the wonderful vendors we had the pleasure of working with:

Coordinator: Roxanne Maquinana, Details by Design Events
Hair/Makeup: Maria Chang from Professional Makeup Artistry
Music/Entertainment: Hale Baskin and the Fil Lorenz Orchestra
Cake: Sugar Bowl Bakery

Palo Alto Engagement Photography - Joyce and Kevin

Posted July 20th, 2009 in Lifestyle / Engagement

If you’ve driven along Highway 280 in Palo Alto, you’ve probably seen stretches and stretches of open fields. We told Joyce and Kevin to “wear comfortable shoes” and that we may need to “hike a bit”. So…off the beaten path we went.

Joyce and Kevin - Thanks for trekking through all the weeds with us, and we can’t wait for your wedding in two weeks!

Suyun and Eric’s Engagement: Fort Point, San Francisco

Posted July 20th, 2009 in Lifestyle / Engagement

It was a hot summer weekend everywhere in the Bay Area, but on this Saturday morning in San Francisco it was barely a chilly 60 degrees. Suyun and Eric met us at the fog covered Fort Point in San Francisco. As we meandered through the different corridors of this old decommissioned military fort, we found some fabulous angles. After a while, the sun even decided to peek through the fog to give us some great shadows!

Suyun and Eric - Thanks for braving the weather with us, and we can’t wait until your wedding!

Jamie & Paul’s Wedding: Hakone Gardens, Chinese for Christ Church San Jose, and Joy Luck Palace

Posted July 13th, 2009 in Slideshow, Wedding

For Jamie and Paul’s wedding, the day covered a few different locations.  We started at the Hilton Garden Inn where the bridal party got ready for the day.  We then departed for Hakone Gardens in Los Gatos for the portrait session.  The ceremony was held at the Chinese for Christ Church in San Jose, and the evening reception was at the Joy Luck Palace in Cupertino.

As always, we appreciate all the great vendors for their hard work to make the event even more special!

Maggie and Lance Wedding: The Athenaeum at Caltech, Pasadena

Posted July 6th, 2009 in Slideshow, Wedding

After such a great experience working with Christina and Rei last year at the Athenaeum at Caltech, we couldn’t wait to go back to the venue this year for Maggie and Lance’s wedding!  I loved how genuine Maggie was in front of the camera and adored her initial reaction when Lance saw her for the first time - the excitement was both on her face and in her body language (check out the slideshow at the end for the full sequence!).  They complemented each other well, and she could always bring a smile to his face whenever I asked for it!

We had the pleasure to work with some great vendors:

Hair and Makeup: Kelly Zhang
Florist: The Daily Blossom (Lien Lenh)
DJ: SoCal DJ (Eric Mosqueda)
Cake: Cocoa Bakery (Grace Kam)
Venue Coordinator: Dior Chase
