Every wedding is unique and different … that’s part of what I love about photographing weddings! And it’s particularly fun when the couple infuses what they love in everfy day life into the wedding day. You’ll definitely see what I mean as you scroll through these highlight photos from Jamie and Adam’s wedding!
We started off the day at the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco where Jaime had a double decker room! We’ll always find something to photograph the the rings on …
But the fun really starts when you see all the Angry Birds characters appearing! Oh, these plush stuffed animals are so cute! And not to forget, the canvas board Jaime’s sister painted for her!
I think the guys were having a little too much fun re-enacting the game!

Then it was off to San Francisco City Hall for their wedding ceremony! We took the opportunity to grab some wedding portraits at this beautiful location before the ceremony.

This has got to be one of the most grand looking “walks down the wedding aisle” … ever!

After the ceremony, we headed over to Potrero Hill for some more photos. I love this set of old wooden doors!
And if was of course a gorgeous day with the beautiful San Francisco skyline behind then …
Now, I have to give the guys credit for this next one. I overheard them whisper something about planking, so I said, “You guys are up next! Plank (in the middle of a street) and we’ll get the San Francisco skyline in the background!” Love it … I mean, how often do you see the groom and groomsmen planking in their wedding attire in the middle of a street!
Thus far, it’s been a pretty busy day … so busy that the bridal party had not eaten and it was well after lunch by this point. I’m pretty sure we were originally planning on heading to some other location, but the grumbling stomachs prevailed and we took a road less traveled and headed over to In-n-Out Burger, so the bridal party could grab a bite! Love it! Totally don’t mind the turn of events. After all, how often do you see a bride and groom eating burgers inside In-n-Out?
With some animal style burgers and fries in the tummies, it was time to head to the wedding reception at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant in Cupertino.

This has got to be the BIGGEST cake knife I’ve ever seen! In case you’re wondering what the heck that is … it’s a samurai sword!!!

I’ve been itching to share this engagement session with you … and now I finally can! A few weeks ago, we headed up to San Francisco with Sophie and Ray for their engagement shoot. We started out at the beautiful and grand San Francisco City Hall, then headed to Sophie’s absolute favorite bakery, Miette, then mixed it up with some grungy graffiti backgrounds in the Mission and rounded out the day outdoors at the Presidio Forest and Golden Gate Bridge. Indoors vs outdoors, classic elegance vs street grunge, nature vs. urban … we covered it all.
I love how Ray is the serious one – reading between the lines, checking to make sure each and every “i” is dotted, which Sophie is just a giddy happy girl, fixing her shoe!

I’ve seen quite a few City Halls and San Francisco has one of the most grand and pretty ones in my opinion! We’ve photographed many times here and the place is so big we continue to find new angles in here!
This is one of my favorite shots … I can’t wait to see their first dance!

Then it was off to Miette. If you’ve never been to their shop, definitely stop by the next time you’re in SF! It’s so pretty! I feel like a little kid in a candy store when I’m in there! Love macaroons as much as Sophie does? Then you definitely need to check this place out
.
Sophie at the happiest place on earth (… for her … it’s Miette – not Disneyland).
Yes, they love cupcakes too!
Did I mention this place is like a kid’s candy store? Oh wait! It also is a candy store! LOVE the colorful candy jar display on their wall!
Yes … super happy about her macaroons! And thanks Ray for hanging onto the beautiful bouquet by Jeeryn while Sophie indulged in her desserts!
After the desserts, we headed outdoors … to the colorful graffiti alleys in the Mission district … and for a walk in the Presidio forest.

Hmm…who’s scarier? Why is it that Sophie is just laughing at Ray and Ray actually looks scared!? =P
So … can you guess what Sophie’s favorite color is? (Hint, look at her DS and laptop!)

Sophie and Ray ~ We had an absolute blast hanging out with you guys and can’t wait for your wedding next month!
