Golden Gate Park, Ferry Building, De Young Museum Engagement Photography: Kim and Bennett

Kim and Bennett are getting married later this year. To celebrate their engagement, we started out at the Ferry Building in San Francisco and strolled down to Pier 7. These two claim to be camera shy and were hoping that just 1 out of thousands of shots would come out well. Boy did we have a hard picking just one! (Actually, we couldn’t…you’ll see below there are plenty more!)

These two have the most genuine happy smile when they’re looking at each other!

Kim and Bennett are wine lovers, so we made our way into the Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant for some shots.

A quick rest on a bench on one of the side alleys. (What you don’t realize is that the water across the way smells kinda foul…but these two were perfectly content with each other.)

For years, Jay has been trying to find a shot that looks like the deep corner of a lush forest in San Francisco. I think we may have finally found it…inside Golden Gate Park!

Kim and Bennett, it was pleasure hanging out with you guys last week. Have a terrific 4th of July and can’t wait for your wedding later this year!

De Young Museum Engagement Photography: Kimloan and Thomas

Kimloan and Thomas are getting married next month, but first up, an engagement shoot to celebrate their upcoming nuptials! I actually wasn’t able to make this shoot, but just looking at the photos Jay took, the chemistry between Kimloan and Thomas is absolutely undeniable.

They started out near the UCSF campus, although the scenery and backdrop could have fooled me for some redwood forest. The tranquil backdrop and the way Kimloan and Thomas look at each other just makes you want to go “ahhhhh”.

Then it was off to the De Young Museum for more engagement photos, this time with a more urban backdrop. There’s certainly a funny and playful side to them as well – be it Street Fighter style or some other inside joke.

Thomas and Kimloan – Congrats, and we look forward to your wedding next month!

Palo Alto Engagement Photography – Joyce and Kevin

If you’ve driven along Highway 280 in Palo Alto, you’ve probably seen stretches and stretches of open fields. We told Joyce and Kevin to “wear comfortable shoes” and that we may need to “hike a bit”. So…off the beaten path we went.

Joyce and Kevin – Thanks for trekking through all the weeds with us, and we can’t wait for your wedding in two weeks!
