Details … details … details … Brides and grooms often spend hundred of hours researching and planning the “look” for their wedding. From the color palette for the wedding, to the venue, flowers, wedding invitations, dress, cake, bridal party attire, shoes, table linens, lighting, … phew. The list goes on and on. It’s definitely a lot of work, but when it’s all put together, it’s so worth it! I absolutely love all the details that a couple incorporates into their wedding, no matter how big or small. Whether it’s the grand flowers on your altar or a keepsake from your grandmother tied onto the wedding bouquet, we strive to capture the beauty in the details incorporated into every wedding. Stanford Memorial Church, W Hotel Newark, Mayflower Wedding Photography: Van and Gary

Happy one month wedding anniversary to Van and Gary! They held their wedding ceremony at the beautiful Stanford Memorial Church, followed by a wedding reception at Mayflower Seafood Restaurant in Union City. But first, they got ready at the W Silicon Valley hotel in Newark. I distinctly remember the hotel room Van got married in because the purple room decor matched her wedding colors perfectly… purple bedspreads and all!

First up … some details, including the ring shots.

Shoes … I love a girl with multiple pairs of wedding shoes! (…weddings…a great excuse for some killer heels!)Van and Gary chose to do a first look at the Stanford Memorial Church before their wedding ceremony and words can’t describe the joy Gary felt seeing Van for the first time on their wedding day. There’s just something so special about seeing your significant other all dressed up and ready to be married for the first time. (Hint: it’s often a tear jerker!) If time permits and couples are open to it, I always recommend doing a first look prior to the wedding ceremony, as it offers couples a private moment to themselves ~ to rejoice, to reflect and just be with one another before all the wedding festivities with family and friends begin.

The grand Stanford Memorial Church ~ always stunning, perfect for a wedding ceremony.After the wedding ceremony, we headed outside for some wedding portraits …And then it was off to Mayflower Seafood Restaurant in Union City for the wedding reception.
